Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
This policy explains how InterEX collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and services. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. What information we collect
- Contact and identity details — your name, email address, phone number, and country, when you request a quote or set a rate alert.
- Transfer requirements — the currencies you wish to exchange, transfer amounts, transfer frequency, and any target exchange rates you ask us to monitor.
- Technical information — basic usage data collected by our hosting provider, such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the site running reliably.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your quote request — contacting you by phone or email with a personalised exchange rate (lawful basis: your consent, and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract).
- To monitor rates you ask us to watch — contacting you when the market approaches your target rate (lawful basis: your consent).
- To operate and improve our service — understanding how the site is used so we can make it better (lawful basis: legitimate interests).
- To meet legal obligations — including anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer requirements handled by our regulated payment partners when a transfer is arranged.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@interex.live.
3. Who we share your information with
- Our customer relationship system — we store enquiry details in HubSpot, hosted in the European Union, so our specialists can respond to you.
- Regulated payment partners — if you proceed with a transfer, your details are shared with the FCA-authorised payment provider who carries out the transaction and their own regulatory checks.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
We never sell your personal information.
4. Marketing
We will only send you marketing communications if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us.
5. How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return to us. Where a transfer is completed through our partners, records may be retained for longer periods to meet financial services regulations.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Restrict or object to how we use your information
- Receive your information in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our basis for processing
To exercise any of these rights, email info@interex.live. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
7. Cookies and website data
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site and display exchange rates. These do not require your consent.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them using the banner shown when you first visit. You can decline, and the site's tools will work exactly the same. To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again.
If we introduce advertising or conversion-tracking tools in future, these will be covered by the same consent choice and this policy will be updated.
8. Security
Your information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with reputable providers who maintain their own security certifications. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date of the most recent change shown at the top.
